But first, let me introduce you to a life-changing book

Hello my Ladies☺️, I hope you are having a great week-end so far. Today I would like to share with you a book, which had a tremendous impact in my life & the lives of many other people: the Bible❣️

Growing up, I had a bible in my family home but never really took time to read it and discover who God was and what his word was all about, can you relate? Like many, I believed in his existence without really knowing him or getting to know him. I would pray here and there and live my life away from him thinking that it was enough...until it wasn't!

After facing several challenges, disappointment and isolation, I felt like I needed to get closer to God. Before moving to Asia, I remember saying that prayer, "God I want to get closer to you". My life has never been the same since❣️

He put on my path non-religious Christians who were mature in their faith (a detail that matter as I used to be religious before knowing God) meditating the Bible and spending time in their company made me realise that the Bible is not about religion; in fact the word religion is mentioned less than 20 times in the 66 books that constitute the Bible and that it is mostly displayed in a negative connotation. Yet how many of used to think that being christian equate to being religious? Even worse, how many rejected God because they were taught religion & believe that is what he is all about?

One of the few scriptures that highlights the word religion positively is found in the book of James 1 verse 27 "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." It is all about self-preservation from negative influence of the world that we live in and to care about those who are in suffering but that's not what my understanding of the word religion was all about. While practicing religiosity I did not know God and nothing changed in my life.

But how can we know what's true and untrue about who God is and what being a Christian is all about if we don't read & meditate on the Bible? How can we know how God sees us and what blessings he has in store for us if we don't know how he operates and what he says? It is because of these equations that during my renewal of faith, God told me the importance of meditating on the Bible and praying for understanding of his word. This led me to realise so many hidden truth about him, about myself & my family that I knew I had to share my experience with others.

If you doubt about the existence of God or were disappointed by your religious upbringing know that it is possible to have a new start with God and develop a relationship that is far different from what you were previously taught. All it takes is an open heart to speak to him openly as you will speak to a friend because God listen, he pays attention to our seeking when it's sincere. As his word says in Jeremiah 29 verse 13 "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." You can ask him if he exists that he reveals himself to you, if Jesus is indeed the messiah, that he shows you in a way that will be undeniable to you (we are all different but God know our heart) or ask him to help you with whatever difficulties you are facing and believe me, he will answer!

I used to feel empty and upset. I could feel it physically, but when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and savior, the emptiness and anger was gone❣️ I also used to think that I knew how to pray, but once I started meditating on the Bible and praying with biblical verse, my prayer life and the way God answered me changed drastically. He can do the same with you, would you like to get to know God better or discover him if you never believed in him before?
