Hello Dear❣️ I hope you are having a great week so far. Today I would like to share with you a book, which after the Bible, had a tremendous impact in my life & many others: Waiting and Dating by Dr. Myles Munroe.

As a young woman, when I was in my mid-twenties, I started to feel pressure from relatives & my direct environment, to get married without considering if I was ready for it and worst of all..without receiving any guidance or tips about self-acceptance & personal boundaries. First and foremost, then what to consider while dating someone or preparing life after walking down the aisle. Can you relate?

After being suggested to read this book, I knew I had to share it with everyone and I mean

E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E, so here we are today❣️Published in 2004, Waiting and Dating has been an eye-opener for me. First, it pushed me to read the Bible more about what God said about marriage & its purpose, as well as to pray about it. Afterwards, I started educating myself through happily married couples (a must!) divorce lawyers, Christian financial experts about the risks and blessings in marriage and what differentiates a successful marriage from a failed one. The little gems I can share with you without spoiling your reading is that marriage is not solely based on feelings. Although having feelings for our partner matters, a strong foundation for a marriage lies in the compatibility of the vision that both potential spouses have for their life (e.g. If you have a calling from God to start a company, help local farmers in Honduras and your partner goal in life is to settle permanently in Spain, your vision of life is not compatible in the long run), plus the mutual understanding you both have of marriage.

Did you know that one of the most common reason for divorce nowadays is finance? and that a lack of common vision lead to bitterness, resentment or even anger between two spouses who used to love each other? How can we make sure that this does not happen to us?

This book answer many of those key elements and much more. The only aspect of the book that I disagreed upon from a faith perspective is the fact that the author doesn't believe that God has a destiny partner for us. If you are interested to read it, you can either purchase it in a local Christian bookstore or on Amazon US | Amazon UK | Amazon Singapore | Librairie Chrétienne Suisse | CLC France | Librairie Chrétienne Côte d'Ivoire .

Please do not hesitate to comment and share your reviews of this book or other ones related to this topic. I would love to read your opinion or personal experience on this matter❣️

Take care & God bless you.
